Dr. Brenda Day

Dr. Brenda Day grew up in a small town in Montana.  She graduated with an engineering degree and after working five years in the aeronautical field she returned to school to pursue a more rewarding career.  She graduated with a veterinary degree from Washington State University in 1999 and after working at Five Mile Pet Clinic for nine years, she and Dr. Carrie Forster opened the Cat's Meow Feline Clinic.  At home she lives with her husband, several cats, dogs and horses.  In her spare time she enjoys traveling and wine tasting.

Dr. Carrie Forster

Laurie Dunn:

Laurie is usually the smiling voice you hear when phoning.  She is our full time, very much appreciated, very competent receptionist. Laurie grew up in a Pinehurst, Idaho part of the area known as Silver Valley.  She moved to Spokane Valley in 2004.  She has a total of four dogs, of which include three natural disasters, Hurri (Hurricane), Zephyr, Twister and Trapper Creek, as well as, her adorable cats Satchamo and Sunshine.  She loves spending time with all of them at home in the Valley as well as at Priest Lake in the summer months.

Born and raised in Seattle, WA, Dr. Carrie Forster eagerly left the city for smaller town life. She started undergraduate studies at Shoreline Community College just outside of Seattle, finished a Bachelor of Science from Western Washington University in Bellingham, and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University along with Dr. Brenda in 1999.  Among other jobs, Dr. Carrie worked for three summers in Alaska and in several animal related positions to offset school expenses.  As a veterinarian, Dr. Carrie has worked in Spokane for several years, later worked at Deer Park Veterinary Clinic before striking out in business with Dr. Brenda to focus solely on cats.  When not at the clinic, she balances her time with three younger children on their farm in Elk.  At home she enjoys her own horses, cows, goats, chickens and other poultry, dogs and of course, cats!  When critters, chores and children are not filling her time, she also enjoys boating + / - camping, fishing, long distance bicycling, gardening, horseback riding as well as raising and showing a variety of chickens.

Kris Braach and Tilly:

Kris is a vital part of all aspects of our practice.  She is not only a fill-in receptionist and veterinary assistant, Kris is also our bookkeeper and office manager.  Without Kris, we could not function.  Kris grew up in a very small town in Montana and goes back frequently to visit family who still live in the area.  Kris is married and enjoys spending time with her wonderful grandboys, JD and Wyatt as well as playing with her dog Tilly and cats Izzy and Willy.

Rachel was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas where she worked for many years in a cat only veterinary practice.  She moved to the Spokane area in 2012 and joined our team shortly thereafter.   Her dream has always been to have a house in the woods, which has now become a reality for her and her husband with their multiple cats and their dog.  Her interests include reading, gardening, bird-watching, and pretty much anything that gets her outdoors.  She has been a great addition to our clinic, not only working with patients, but taking over inventory, equipment maintenance and many other tasks.  We are very lucky to have Rachel working with us.

Molly Hui:

Lula left us for work on the human side.  We still consider her part of the Cat's Meow Family.  We miss you Lula.

Molly is a licensed technician and works for us part time.  She loves horses and rides hers when not working.

Nikko has been with us since May of 2015. She started her education at Spokane Community College and moved on to Washington State University to obtain a Zoology degree. Her last 'job' was working, and living, in Costa Rica at a wildlife rehabilitation center. She hopes to learn more about internal medicine while working for us, and then moving on to wildlife rehabilitation and conservation in the future. In her free time, depending on the season, you will find her in the mountains snowboarding, or kayaking in a local water spot.
