Meet Our Caring And Friendly Staff

Dr. Brenda Day

Dr. Brenda Day grew up in a small town in Montana. She graduated with an engineering degree and after working five years in the aeronautical field she returned to school to pursue a more rewarding career. She graduated with a veterinary degree from Washington State University in 1999 and after working at Five Mile Pet Clinic for nine years, she and Dr. Carrie Forster opened the Cat's Meow Feline Clinic. At home she lives with her husband, several cats, dogs and horses. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and wine tasting.

Dr. Carrie Forster

Born and raised in Seattle, WA, Dr. Carrie Forster eagerly left the city for smaller town life. After navigating undergraduate studies from Shoreline Community College and later Western Washington University, she accomplished her life-long goal and graduated as a veterinarian from Washington State University along with Dr. Brenda in 1999. As a veterinarian, Dr. Carrie initially worked in Spokane area for several years before striking out in business with Dr. Brenda to focus solely on cats. When not at the clinic, she balances her time with her children on their farm in Elk. She enjoys farming hay, raising children, sheep, goats, chickens and dogs as well as - of course, loves her cats!  As time allows, she can be found camping, boating, road biking and just hanging with the kiddos.

Laurie:

Laurie is usually the smiling voice you hear when phoning. She is our full time, very much appreciated, very competent receptionist. Laurie grew up in a Pinehurst, Idaho part of the area known as Silver Valley. She moved to Spokane Valley in 2004. She has a total of five dogs, of which include Zephyr, Twister, Trapper Creek, Four, and HooDoo as well as, her adorable cats Satchamo and Sunshine. She loves spending time with all of them at home in the Valley as well as at Priest Lake in the summer months.

Kris and Tilly:

Kris is a vital part of all aspects of our practice. She is not only a fill-in receptionist and veterinary assistant, Kris is also our bookkeeper and office manager. Without Kris, we could not function. Kris grew up in a very small town in Montana and goes back frequently to visit family who still live in the area. Kris is married and enjoys spending time with her wonderful grandboys, JD and Wyatt, her granddaughter Ayla and playing with her dog Tilly and cats Izzy and Willy.

Nikko

Nikko has been with us since May of 2015. She graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelors in Zoology. Her previous job was interning in Costa Rica at a wildlife rehabilitation center. She hopes to learn more about internal medicine while working for us, moving on to wildlife rehabilitation and conservation in the future. In her free time she loves to go the gym, running in Spartan races, mushroom/huckleberry hunting, snowboarding in the winter, kayaking in a local water spot, travelling, and spending time with her animals and family. She says she is extra thankful for working with us because, without the Cats Meow, she would have never had the chance to find her Baby Sloan

Molly:

Molly has been an employee with us since 2012 and is a vital member of our team. She enjoys working out, riding her horse and enjoying nature when not at the clinic. She has one kitty of her own and loves our clinic cat Alfred who is pictured above.

Kennedi:

Kennedi started working for us spring 2014. She has two wonderful black cats Stone and Meliodas. When not at work Kennedi enjoys cooking plant-based meals for her 2 year old food critic. Kennedi is a beauitful, amazing, high energy worker that we are so lucky to have.

Kelsey:

Kelsey joined our team in early 2019 after working as a veterinary assistant at an all species vet clinic for 3 years. She has three cat children and loves gardening, camping and mountain biking in her off time
